The British Cardiac Research Trust (BCRT) was launched in February 2003 as a charitable organisation dedicated to cardiovascular research. The charity supports research into all aspects of heart disease through the work of numerous scientists, doctors and nurses. Our current research ranges from understanding the biology and causes of heart disease to investigating how best to diagnose, prevent and treat the disease at the earliest possible stage.

Much of our research has led to changes in the evaluation and treatment procedures of heart disease.
